Sushi Chef
Responsibilities:
• Prepare traditional and modern sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all seafood and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the sushi station and tools.
• Manage prep and inventory of sushi-related ingredients.
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Uphold presentation standards and quality consistency.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of sushi chef experience, preferably in a high-end or fast-paced Japanese restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of fish types, sushi preparation techniques, and knife handling.
• Excellent attention to detail, food safety, and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during peak hours.
• Team player with good communication and time management skills.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
Cook
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including hot appetizers, grilled items, and rice/noodle dishes.
• Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service.
• Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Assist with prep work and inventory as needed.
• Communicate efficiently with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
Requirements:
• 1+ year of kitchen experience, preferably in Japanese or Asian cuisine.
• Understanding of food prep, kitchen equipment, and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
